I read something today that said:
“Have you ever looked at old pics of yourself and thought;
‘Man, I should have appreciated that version of myself more back then?’
That’s going to be true again for your future self.
Appreciate YOU, NOW.”
How do I “appreciate me now,” you ask? Like this 👇
• Practice self-reflection: Get to know yourself + have fun with it! Take (reputable) personality quizzes and get curious about your quirks and core values and how best to leverage them.
• Be kind to yourself: Challenge unkind thoughts, say positive things to yourself, and extend yourself kindness, tolerance, and compassion.
• Practice gratitude: Write down a few things you’re thankful for each day, or keep a journal to reflect on.
• Practice self-care: Make self-care a daily practice, and take time for mental breaks.
• Avoid comparing yourself to others: Focus on what you have instead of what you don’t.
